Alys Hawkins’ film Crying & Wanking won the Synchro-Prize (€ 1500) at the Tricky Women film festival 2003 in Vienna. Furthermore, this film won second prize (€ 1500) in the category Experimental/Videocreation at the Unicaja Eurovideo, Malaga, Spain 2003.
While participating in the Artists in Residence programme of the quartier21/MQ in Vienna, Alys Hawkins worked on her latest film "Herein" which was shown in May 2004 at Gender/Film/Language of culture2culture.
