Als Herzstück des Festivals versammelt der internationale Wettbewerb die Trends und Strömungen des weltweiten unabhängigen Animationsfilmschaffens von Frauen. Hier finden sich Filme von anerkannten Größen des internationalen Trickfilms ebenso wie die Arbeiten von Newcomerinnen. Die Filme des ersten Blocks erinnern an Väter und vergangene Leben, erzählen von fiktiven Liebhabern, seltsamen Halluzinationen und nehmen uns mit in den Transitbereich eines Flughafens, in dem Reisen beginnen oder ihr jähes Ende finden können. A moving truck is heading towards the Igueldo lighthouse, where a woman lives with a dog. Inside the charged environment of the lighthouse, the woman will become the protagonist of the strangest of hallucinations. – The interior of the lighthouse bears the signature of Izibene Oñederras, the exterior that of Isabel Herguera.
