My Grandmother is a Skydiver

Alfyia, a young woman in 1960s Central Asia, studies to be a midwife and parachutes for fun. In 2022, her granddaughter calls, worried about her amid the invasion of Ukraine. Across time and space, they confront family memory, identity, and the cycle of collective trauma.
