Whose Woods Are These

In 1841, Julianna left her home in northwest Ohio’s Great Black Swamp to gather hickory nuts, never to be seen again. Created frame by frame from over 500 feet of woven fabric, the filmmaker reimagines the mysterious disappearance of her great-great-great-great-grandmother by following signs woven through the landscape.
