10 Years of Tricky Women
To mark our tenth anniversary, we asked ten inter/national artists who have accompanied us through these years to name three animated films that are particularly important to them. The result are three programmes with wonderful films from 1933 to 2010, "recommended, curated and explained" by Sarah Cox (UK), Gaelle Denis (UK/FR), Sabine Groschup (AT), Sayoko Kinoshita (JP), Ruth Lingford (UK/US), Vera Neubauer (UK/CZ), Michaela Pavlatova (CZ), Joanna Priestley (US), Marjut Rimminen (UK/FI) and Klara Swantesson (SE).
Connecting Animation – International Forum
International forum in cooperation with the Vienna Film Fund. At The Austrian Film Museum, 11th and 12th March. With: Esther Leslie (Professor of Political Aesthetics, Birkbeck College), Annegret Richter (Director of the Animation Programme, DOK Leipzig), Yanni Li, Bingjie Li and Xiushan Luo (NanJing Normal University, China), Birgitta Hosea (Central St. Martins College of Art & Design London), Caroline Leaf (filmmaker).
Exhibition: Miracles_Wunderkammer
At Kro Art Contemporary. With works by: Jana Farmanova, Maria Olivares Luz Capelle, Robert Mittringer, Leo Ferdinando Demetz, Anne Zwiener, Ina Loitzl, Teresa Praauer, Renate Egger, Barbara Doser and Hofstetter Kurt.
